I. Finance
1) Roger Cox
The committee met with Roger Cox concerning the oversight of investments. The committee will evaluate cost and benefit of engaging Mr. Cox’s Service.
II. Administration
1) HSA- Employee Contribution-
After discussion with Julie Topple of Horan and the HIRT committee, the committee is recommending that we fully fund the HSA for the employees this year as the village transitions to employee contributions.~ Even with full village funding we are looking at approximately a 15-16% increase in health care cost.~ This is very reasonable in today’s health insurance world.~ The HIRT committee was very appreciative but also recognizes that there will be employee contributions in 2010.
2) Discuss assignments for Town Meeting
3) Appropriations: Additional appropriations for Bathrooms at Gorman Pavilion, Dental and Optical, and Cultural Arts Center.
III. Windstorm Debriefing: Tim Holloway, Village of Evendale,
Police Department
PO Tim Holloway presented conclusions made after the debriefing held with village department reps after the power outage. This committee is recommending that we budget $40,000 for emergency type items.~ The idea was to get several more generators, water and non perishable foods~and to get 2 fuel tanks to have on sight.~ Research has concluded that the tanks would pay for themselves in about 2 years and it would~allow the village to be more efficient.~ Most importantly, in case of emergency, police, fire, service would not be stuck in long lines waiting for gas.
